Attention returning military service personnel and certain other federal employees!

The homebuyer tax credit may still be available to you.   You may still qualify for the $8000 first time homebuyer or the $6500 move up homebuyer tax credit until June 2011.   That's right 2011!   Just find your home, sign the paperwork by April 30,  2011 and close on the home by June 30,  2011.

This provision was part of the law that extended the previous tax credit and it applies to any individual and, if married,  the individual's spouse who serves on qualified,  official,  extended duty service outside the United States for at least 90 days during the period beginning after December 31,  2008 and ending before May 1,  2010.   I know that sounds like a lot of lawyer talk but the bottom line is you may still have time to take advantage of this program.

If you would like to refer to the actual government article you can go to http://www.irs.gov/newsroom/article/0,,id=215594,00.html for all the details.

You may also qualify for grant money to help with the down payment and closing costs on your new home.   Call me today to find out about the great homes on the market and the homebuyer incentives available right now.   I’d love to work for you on the purchase of your new home.

Thank You For Your Service.
